TREATMENT APPROACHES

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY (CBT)
CBT offers a practical approach that focuses on creating change in patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviour. In CBT, people learn to recognise and reduce unhelpful thinking and develop alternative thinking patterns that are more realistic and helpful. CBT also introduces practical coping techniques such as relaxation, problem-solving and assertive communication to facilitate behaviour changes in peoples' lives.
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (DBT)
DBT was developed to help people who are dealing with high levels of emotional distress and associated suicidal thoughts, self-harm, drug & alcohol issues or harmful relationship patterns. DBT is a long-term approach incorporating mindfulness and acceptance, behavioural interventions and a close therapeutic relationship. Traditional DBT therapy involves both individual and group therapy.
SCHEMA THERAPY
Schema Therapy is an integrative approach that combines aspects of cognitive-behavioral, experiential, interpersonal and psychoanalytic therapies. This helps people to connect deeply with their emotional experience as a platform for changing enduring negative patterns in their lives.
